Allison Akhnoukh is currently a regional director of network growth and sustainability with the KIPP Foundation. In this role she provides support to KIPP regions across the country, working to ensure that these regions are well positioned to open and sustain high quality schools in their communities. She most recently served as director of school portfolio management for Oakland Unified School District, where she also served during her Residency. In this role, she was responsible for implementation of a local accountability system and annual planning process that ensured the district was operating schools which met the needs of the community. Previously, Akhnoukh worked with Leadership Public Schools, a charter school management organization based in San Francisco, where she analyzed the long-term financial sustainability and school opening strategy for the organization. She has also served as director of development for Epiphany Middle School in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where she was responsible for the operations of a $2 million annual campaign and the launch of a $5 million leadership campaign. Akhnoukh began her career as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers. She received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. Akhnoukh participated in The Broad Residency in Urban Education Cohort 2005, serving her two-year Residency in Oakland Unified School District.
